TXT3
TXT3 is some kind of wonderful. For those born after 1985, you won’t understand that phrase but you will understand this.
The definition of TXT3, the newest worship experience at First Baptist:
* It is a different kind of Worship Experience every Sunday night at 5pm in the Worship Center at First Baptist Church Georgetown.
* It is a Sunday evening worship experience where you’re encouraged to leave your cellphone on.
* It is an alternative worship experience offered at a later time to give you more choices in when to worship.
* It provides coffee for a small fee starting at 4:30pm, so come early.
* It includes an hour of optional Cell Group Bible study after the Experience.
* It provides awesome opportunities for your kids concurrently with the Experience.
Come join us for the experience that will get you through your week!

Past mission trips have included Nashville, various cities in New Mexico, Kansas City, New Orleans, and cities in Missouri. In April 2009, the VIP Choir will travel to Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Orchestra
The Orchestra leads worship in both Sunday services, at the 9:40 a.m. traditional services and the 11:00 a.m. contemporary service. They also participate in each of the Adult Choir special programs.
If you can play an instrument or drums, please join us for a rehearsal. Membership is by audition only. Rehearsals are each Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Worship Center. Rehearsal also occurs at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings for the day’s services.
About the Adult Choir
As the integral part of the Worship Arts Ministry, the Adult Choir leads worship twice every Sunday morning at the 9:40 a.m. traditional service and at the 11:00 a.m. contemporary service.
The Adult Choir also prepares and performs special programs throughout the year, including Christmas, Easter, a patriotic program, and a special Morning of Praise. In the past, the Adult Choir has sung with Geron Davis & Kindred Souls, Dick & Mel Tunney, and Calvin Hunt. We have also been privileged to do several premier performances of David Clydesdale’s music. Recent mission trips to Cripple Creek, Colorado have also allowed the Worship Arts Ministry to share Christ with those in need.
If you have a heart full of songs ready to burst forth in praise, this is your ministry.
Come join us for a rehearsal on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. in the choir room in the basement of the Worship Center. Joining the Adult Choir does not require an audition.
