On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” (When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.) - John 7:37-39 NLT
As I was sitting in my quiet time with the Lord, the title RIVER sat profoundly in my heart. I felt lead to open an old journal and found notes from Worship Conference in 2015. I read over a point that was given by Josh Baldwin that said: “Open the wells of your heart.” I am reminded that rivers of living water are flowing from within us. As we prepare ourselves for GTWC21 let us open the wells of our heart and allow the river to flow. Let us be bold and step into the current of the river, believing for a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Letting the current take us wherever it goes, and experience the Holy Spirit in a new and fresh way. Let go and be free to dance in the river! The Lord wants us to come and drink from the river only He provides.
We can never be filled to the top, Jesus always wants to give us more and more of Him! As it says in Ecclesiastes 1:7 NLT: “Rivers run into the sea, but the sea is never full. Then the water returns again to the rivers and flows out again to the sea.” So, as the sea flows back to the river, let our praise flow back to God. My prayer is for us to open the wells of our heart, letting new praise and worship flow from us to the one who provides the living water. May we be all in for Jesus, desiring MORE of what He has for us, taken deeper into the river like never before.
Prayer: Lord, we desire more of you. Whatever it looks like and whatever it sounds like. Let us jump into Your river with a passion to worship and to live for you. Take us deeper. Amen.
Continue to pray for the hearts that are coming to GT Worship Conference.
